Loading Water Monitoring data in Bulk (Flask)

Front-end data loading app using Flask (API wrapper)

Accessing large-scale water monitoring data can be challenging, especially for non-technical users. To address this, I developed a user-friendly API wrapper using Python's Flask and JavaScript's DataTables libraries. This solution allowed end-users to efficiently retrieve bulk timeseries data from WISKI (Water Information System by Kisters) via the Kiwis API.

Designed for efficiency and accessibility, the application enabled users to interact with complex datasets through a simple web interface—eliminating the need for coding expertise. It was deployed as an Azure Web App, ensuring seamless access within the organization while maintaining security through HTTPS and internal IP address access control.

This project demonstrated my ability to design and deploy API-driven applications that enhance data accessibility and streamline workflows in water and environmental monitoring.
